This clay oven was built in a Hackney community garden with local residents, made from rammed earth and clay dug from the garden. It is a wood fired oven with a clay wall of 20 cm that takes approximately 2 hours to warm with a well stoked fire. Once warm it cooks beautifully from pizzas to bread to roast dinners.
