workshops

part of the aim of sasa works is to run workshops for local young and interested people to teach hands on design, making and building processes on actual projects. We believe that at a time were society has seen the individual become less involved in directly shaping their local environment and place, it is important to re-engage with craftsmanship and hands on skills. The process of using our hands and bodies to define our environment whether through adapting our homes or growing food in our own garden brings a connection to place, and to ourselves.

If you are interested in our working approach and are involved with a local based youth group, please contact us for workshop details: info@sasaworks.co.uk

sasa works has run workshops with ‘roots and wings’ youth group in collaboration with Groundworks East London and with Architecture students from the University of East London.

‘guys this has been an awesome week, I’ve learned loads, practised the skills that I would love to perfect, and of course had an amazing time….’ Nick, UEL November 2008
