The intention of the works to this Edwardian House is to re-model and integrate the previous lean-to into a kitchen and living room space, creating a series of internal and external intimate spaces. The project playfully creates openings, extensions and built-in interiors that harmonise with the existing features of the house to interconnect the room and kitchen with a new courtyard and garden.

Having designed the project in collaboration with the client, Sasa Works is now on site operating as architect and contractor, working to install the timber frame structure and other timber elements. This will be followed by producing the built in furniture for the interiors in our workshop, prior to completing the fittings and finishes in Spring 2012.

Materials: reclaimed yellow stock bricks, british oak, black rubber
